Overview

We have an exciting opportunity for a CIS Functional Administrator to join our team! 

 

This position is primarily responsible for configuration of CIS to ensure it meets the needs of the business. This activity involves working closely with project managers, developers, and business owners to understand the desired outcome of CIS and CIS interfacing application modification requests. This is a critical activity that could result in delayed revenue and a negative impact to customer satisfaction if done incorrectly. Responsible for conducting the proper research in CIS to determine possible solutions that will meet the needs of the business and collaborating with the business to arrive at a final solution. Responsible for making the necessary configuration changes, documenting the implementation steps, and testing the changes to ensure the system is functioning as expected. It will be the responsibility of this role to migrate the functional configuration changes to the appropriate environments while following proper change management policies. Additionally, this position is responsible for providing functional support to business owners of CIS and interfacing applications. Support includes preparing test cases for system changes, executing test cases to ensure system changes are functioning as desired, post-implementation validation, troubleshooting issues, thoroughly documenting and reporting system issues and consulting with system developers to resolve the issues when appropriate, and answering functional questions to all users of CIS.

Minimum Salary: $73,400 (Grade 9)

Responsibilities

  • Review business requirements for CIS enhancement requests and system issues and perform research to determine possible configuration solutions.
  • Thoroughly document configuration solutions and collaborate with business owners to arrive at a solution to be implemented.
  • Migrate functional configuration changes to appropriate environments while following proper change management policies.
  • Provides first-level technical troubleshooting and assistance to CIS users to determine if the issue can be addressed with training, configuration, or development and escalating the issue when appropriate.
  • Review requirements, user stories, specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback based on business process knowledge and advanced knowledge of CIS.
  • Create and execute detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test cases to address all business requirements.
  • Prepare test data or query the system using SQL (structured query language) to find accounts with the required test data.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for all software testing tools (i.e., Microsoft Test Manager, qTest, etc.) and defect tracking tools (i.e., Team Foundation Server, Jira,
    etc.)
  • Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Technology, Information Technology, Business or a related field or equivalent years of professional experience in a technical or business role.
  • Proficiency with technology; ability to learn and use a variety of computer systems.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting, maintaining, and debugging complex programs and systems with little guidance.
  • Experience in software configuration.
  • Experience using structured query language (SQL).
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
  • Proven ability to self-manage and complete project deliverables.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently on multiple projects simultaneously and manage task priorities.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.

Preferred Skills/Qualifications

  • 1-2 years experience working in SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle), validating solutions and working as a Software Tester, Data Validation Engineer, or QA Engineer.
  • 1-2 years experience with C2M or CCB system administration.
  • Successfully performed as a Performance Assurance Analyst.
  • 1-2 years of data analysis and reporting.
  • 1-2 years of billing, credit and/or customer service experience.
