Overview

We have an opportunity for a Corporate and Public Affairs intern to join our team!
 
This position will provide hands-on experience assisting the Brand & Corporate Engagement Manager with marketing and sales efforts for our new product, Indy H2O (Citizens canned water). The intern will help manage lead lists, support cold calling and outreach, and contribute to meeting sales goals. In addition, they will gain experience supporting Corporate Events & Philanthropy initiatives, including event planning and on-site engagement.


The ideal candidate is a self-starter, highly disciplined, and a go-getter who thrives in a fast-paced environment. They should be creative, resourceful, and able to work independently while collaborating effectively with internal teams and external partners.

 

This position offers a hybrid work schedule, with responsibilities performed at our office as needed in Indianapolis, Indiana. 

Responsibilities

Under the general supervision of the Brand & Corporate Engagement Manager, an intern will gain exposure to the following: 

 

Sales & Marketing Support

  • Manage and maintain lead lists for Indy H2O sales efforts.
  • Conduct cold calls and outreach to prospective customers.
  • Assist with marketing campaigns and general outreach to meet sales goals.

Event Support

  • Assist the Corporate Events & Philanthropy Coordinator with planning and executing events.
  • Help recruit volunteers and maintain stakeholder information for engagement events.
  • Provide on-site support for the H2O to Go water trailer at select events.

Community Engagement

  • Assist with outreach tables, online sign-up sheets, and post-event surveys.
  • Administrative & Miscellaneous Tasks
  • Support department projects such as SharePoint and Teams channel organization.

Administrative & Miscellaneous Tasks

  • Assist with the launch and ongoing use of our new cloud software system (Zoho).
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in communication, public relations, philanthropy, event planning, business, or related discipline.
  • Self-starter and detail oriented.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Project management skills.
  • Comfortable working in a team setting and independently.
  • Ability to bend, lift, and carry up to 30 lbs.

 

Preferred Skills/Qualifications 

  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and a safe driving record.
