Overview

We have an opportunity for an Environmental Stewardship Intern to join our team!

 

The successful candidate will perform various duties within the Environmental Stewardship Department such as collecting and analyzing various samples including water samples, providing field support, studying and compiling environmental data and information, conducting internal data validation, perform sample preparation in a laboratory setting, and completing other activities as needed. 

Responsibilities

  • Develops familiarity by reading, understanding, and applying departmental and Citizens policies and procedures.
  • Develops an understanding and complies with the Citizens Quality Program. Supports continuous improvement and change management efforts.
  • Conducts sample preparation and/or sample analysis in the laboratory under direct supervision.
  • Supports field staff with sample event preparation including sample bottles and field-testing equipment.
  • Performs routine research and analysis of various data. 
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Valid State of Indiana, Bureau of Motor Vehicles Operator's License.
  • Experience preferred in Microsoft Windows 10, Office Suite, Oracle database environment.
  • Ability to document work, write reports, business correspondence, and procedures manuals.
  • communicate and interact effectively and successfully with project managers, staff engineers, and other team members.
  • Completed at least Freshman year level of studies.
