Overview

We have an exciting career opportunity as a Manager Customer Billing Services to join our team!

The successful candidate plans, directs and manages the activities of the Billing process.  Leads the effort to ensure financial process goals of the organization with respect to timely, accurate and cost effective customer billings are achieved while maintaining appropriate focus on customer satisfaction.  The CBS Manager is responsible for proper resource allocation to include review, formulation, and implementation of appropriate tactical and strategic plans and policies for the billing process.  Identifies customer and employee needs and works in collaboration with both functional and cross-functional process partners, peers, direct reports, and the department head to continuously improve and introduce innovation into the Billing process.  Creates environment for learning and ensures opportunities for personal and professional growth are created and provided while ensuring equity in these assignments and opportunities.  Ensures people and process infrastructure evolves consistently with current Billing standards, organizational strategies and goals, changing business environment, and governmental or regulatory requirements.

Minimum Salary: $105,300 (Grade 12)

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Business Administration required.
  • A minimum of four years of formal management or supervisory experience, including managing teams and groups of individuals, and budget management.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.  
  • Proficiency with a variety of business management software applications.

Preferred Skills/Qualifications                    

  • A graduate degree, such as an M.B.A.
  • Experience with or knowledge of the utility industry and/or regulated environments.
